Mills High School PTO
Class of 2026 Family Meeting
4/8/2025 Tuesday 7:30pm-8:15pm
Hello Class of 2026 Families
We wanted to let you know that next Tuesday, April 8, we will have a meeting to discuss the items listed below:
Senior Awards Night - Every year, the Junior Class hosts a snack and drink table for the Seniors so they can enjoy their evening. We will need volunteers.
Grad Night Survey - We sent a survey to your students about Grad Night next year. The survey was sent through the school to their student email address. Please remind them to take the quick survey. You can also forward this link to them: https://forms.gle/C1zqfuBMe67PRLxcA. We will send a similar survey to families soon so please do not complete this one.
Senior Year - In addition to Grad Night, we wanted to see if families wanted to raise funds to help with Grad Night and any other Senior activity (like decorations or giveaways for our grads). For example, we could have an end of summer potluck, sell sweatshirts, etc.
This will be a quick meeting to share the items above and hopefully get volunteers interested in planning, fundraising, etc.

A Message from Our PTO President
Dear Viking Families,
Welcome to the Class of 2028 families and welcome back to all our returning Vikings families! I am excited to serve as your 2024-2025 Mills Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) President with our wonderful Board of dedicated volunteer parents/guardians and educators.
Our mission is to communicate and keep our Mills Community informed, connect parents/guardians with other parents/guardians, teachers, and administration, collect funds to support the Mills Annual Fund and PTO programs, and celebrate our students, teachers, staff, and administrators.
What We Do
With YOUR help, the Mills PTO is able to do the following:
Provide volunteers & services to teachers, staff, and students of Mills High School.
Curate & send an e-newsletter that highlights important dates, events, activities, and relevant news to our families.
Educate & inform parents/guardians and the community on discussion topics (e.g., college planning and mental health).
Spearhead the Annual Fund campaign to provide much needed supplemental funding, which elevates and enriches the exceptional educational experience of ALL Mills students.
Our Partners
In addition to working closely with Mills High School administration, staff, and teachers, we work closely with ALL family organizations in order to best serve our community. All our organizations support one another and are reliant on membership fees or donations in order to fund events, equipment, materials, etc.
How YOU Can Help
Here are ways you can get involved and stay informed:
Make a donation to the Annual Fund! A small portion of your donation will allow us to support family/student activities and programs we host throughout the year. The remainder will go directly to Mills High School to support education programming, counseling, and our students.
Stay connected and informed: Sign up to receive school updates by going online to https://subscribe.millshspto.org | Instagram account: millshspto | Facebook page: Mills High School PTO | Webpage: Mills PTO Website
We look forward to supporting you and our students this school year. Go Vikings!!!
Sincerely,
Joy Pasamonte Henry
We know that some families are unable to help financially. But there are funding gaps that need to be filled, so we need all financially-able families to give what they can. Please visit our web page to make a donation! 100% of your donation goes back to services, programs, and resources that support our Mills students, faculty, and staff.
Please do not forget to submit your corporate match - every dollar counts! If you have not made your Annual Fund Donation yet, please send it. EVERY dollar counts towards our $140,000 goal.
If we do not come close to our goal, there are classroom programs and initiatives that may not get funded for this school year and next.
If you work for a large corporation, chances are they offer a corporate match – please submit your corporate match for your Annual Fund Donation for this year. Most companies match 1:1, which means if you donate $500, your company will match an additional $500!
Annual Fund Progress
We Need Everyone to Pitch In!
Our goal: $100,000
Minimum recommended family contribution: $500
THANK YOU 2023-2024 ANNUAL FUND DONORS AND SPONSORS!
Thanks to all of you, the Mills PTO was able to grant Mills High School with a grant of $73,663.00!
Our Annual Fund Drive for this school year is up and running. We ask all financially-able families to make a donation to help funding gaps. Your donation helps with essential items like classroom supplies and equipment, student clubs, and funding a portion of our counseling department!
